Campus Office of International Programs announces changes to requirements for proposals with international content.

As of June 3, 2008, the campus office of International Programs will no longer be required to review proposals whose only international components are lectures, paper presentations, at international proceedings annual meetings, or other one-time events outside the U.S.  Exceptions are when the country is under a U.S. State Department Travel Warning, in which case the standing university policy on international policy will apply.

This policy is available at http://www.fs.uiuc.edu/cam/CAM/ix/ix-a/ix-a-26.html

If the international component entails a longer-term stay to participate in capacity building, training, teaching and/or research or field work as a part of a grant's scope of work, then you would need to have the proposal reviewed and approved by our office.

For more information or to ask questions about this campus policy contact Rajeev Malik (malik@uiuc.edu).
